  • Glenarm Castle – The village of Glenarm has a history going back to the 11th century. Glenarm Castle is the home of Viscount and Viscountess Dunluce and their family. The present castle has been in the McDonnell family since it was built in 1636. The estate and gardens have several events throughout the year with the castle itself occasionally open to the public to enjoy on designated days. Before taking up residence at Glenarm, the family lived most notably at Dunluce Castle on the north coast. The stables are now converted into a delightful coffee shop for refreshments, a place to relax and engage with the locals. Steensons the jewellers of the hit tv series Game of Thrones are located in the village, you can visit their workshop and experience the art of jewellery making.
  • Carnlough village – Step back in time and get lost amidst unspoilt landscapes, the picturesque coastal villages. The village was basically built by the Marchioness of Londonderry on the money raised from the extraction and export of the local Limestone.

• Cushendall Village – Nestles in a the dramatic landscape at the bottom of Glenballyeamon with mountains on one side and the Irish Sea on the other. The beauty of this village recognised in 1975 as conservation area, only the second such area in Nothern Ireland to be designated. The original grant to distil was signed in 1608 by King James 1st and whiskey has been distilled since then using the local river water and Irish barley. Bushmills is the only distillery in Ireland to make triple distilled single malt whiskey. Triple distillation is at the heart of all Bushmills whiskey and creates a unique taste of smoothness and richness. During your tour you will experience all the sights and smells of the whiskey making process.
  • Dunluce Castle – Guardian of the coastline – The McQuillans (Scottish mercenaries) built the castle in 1500, it was taken by the McDonnell’s who came from the Scottish Isle of Islay in 1554. The McDonnell family who also own Glenarm Castle still own the castle today. Sorley Boy McDonnell claimed the castle after the Battle of Orla 1565. Sorley Boy retrieved the cannons from the wreck of the Spanish Armada ship Girona, just of shore and mounted them on the castle walls. Maeve Roe daughter of Lord McQuillan of Dunluce was imprisioned to the tower after refusing to marry Rory Og. On a stormy night Maeve fled to the Mermaid Cave beneath the castle with her lover Reginald O Cahan, they set of in a rowing boat but were dashed against the rocks and cliffs and perished.  It is said on stormy night’s that you can hear Maeve cry out from the tower!!!
