Who are we?

Who Runs the Company

Diamond Chauffeurs Ireland is run by Robert Craig from Belfast. He holds an OCN NI Level 2 Award in Tour Guiding, awarded through Belfast Metropolitan College, and has completed the WorldHost Ambassador Workshop.

That distinction matters more than it sounds. Most chauffeur companies provide a driver. When guests spend eight hours travelling the Causeway Coast, what they remember is what they learned along the way, and a qualified guide can answer questions that a driver cannot.

Our Partnerships

Diamond Chauffeurs Ireland is the official chauffeur partner to The Merchant Hotel, Belfast’s five-star hotel in the Cathedral Quarter, appointed in 2023. Read the announcement.

We are also the chauffeur partner to Regency House, the boutique Belfast property, appointed in September 2023. Read the announcement.

Hotels of that standard do not appoint a transport partner casually. Their guests are the people least tolerant of a car arriving late.

Our Fleet

We operate Mercedes vehicles exclusively.

Mercedes S-Class for one to three passengers, used most often for airport transfers, corporate work and weddings.

Mercedes V-Class for up to six passengers, or four travelling with golf bags and full luggage. The choice for touring and families.

Both are maintained to the standard the vehicles imply, inside and out, and carry mineral water, tissues, hand gel and WiFi.

What We Do

Our work divides into three areas.

Private touring. The Giant’s Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede, the Game of Thrones filming locations, Belfast and the Titanic Quarter, and day tours across Northern Ireland built around what guests want to see.

Transfers. Belfast International and Belfast City airports, the Dublin Airport run, and shore excursions from the Belfast cruise terminal.

Executive and specialist work. Corporate and executive travel, wedding cars, golf transport across the island, and production and media transport for film and television crews working in Northern Ireland.

Where We Work

Based in Belfast, County Antrim, and operating across Northern Ireland and the Republic. There is no border formality, so a single booking can cover Portrush in the morning and Dublin Airport in the evening.

Most work runs along the Causeway Coastal Route north of Belfast, through County Down to the Mournes and Mount Stewart, and west towards Derry.

How We Work

Vehicles are booked by the day or the journey, never shared. If a round of golf overruns or a tour stop turns out to be worth another half hour, the schedule adjusts. That is the whole point of a private vehicle rather than a scheduled service.

For cruise passengers, timings are built backwards from the ship’s all-aboard time with a margin included. For airport work, flights are tracked against live data. For weddings, the car is held for the day.

Tell us what you are trying to do, and we will tell you honestly whether it is achievable in the time you have. Some itineraries that look reasonable on a map do not work once you account for a morning start and a two-hour transfer, and it is better to know that in advance.
